Physical Education Program

All children from prep to year 6 are involved in physical education lessons each week with the visiting physical education specialist teacher. As we have our own 25 metre heated swimming pool on site swimming is a major component of our school's Health and Physical Education (HPE) program. Students from year 1-4 partake in the swimming program twice per week in terms 1 and 4 whilst the remaining year levels have 1 lesson per week. In terms 2 and 3 our classes participate in lessons around ball skills and games, fitness and athletics in readiness for our inter-house sports days in term 3.

Perceptual Motor Program

Students from prep to year 2 also participate in the Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) each week to develop their fine and gross motor skills through participating in a range of fun and challenging activities such as scooter boards, parachutes, trampolines and locomotor and non-locomotor activities using a range of apparatus such as hoops, balls, bean bags etc.

Intra-school and Inter-school sport

Years 3-6 are also involved in a range of intra-school sports, whilst the 5-6 students also participate in the Bramble Bay Inter-school sports program twice a year. Some of the sports offered are netball, soccer, cricket, softball, rugby league and touch football. We also hold inter-house carnivals in swimming, athletics and cross country to select teams to represent us at the Bramble Bay carnivals. Some students are selected to go on further to represent the Metropolitan region or state.
