Inter-school and Intra-school sport
Students in years 4-6 have the opportunity to participate in the Barra Inter-school sports program during term 2 and 3 of each year (Winter sports). At Sandgate we participate in the netball and soccer competitions.
We also hold Junior (P-2) and Senior (3-6) intra-school carnivals in swimming, athletics and cross country. Students in years 3-6 are then selected to represent us at the Bay District carnivals. Some students are selected to go on further to represent the school at the Metropolitan North region or state level.
