Art Space Opening

It was wonderful to finally see the Art Space under E Block opened at the school dance and to witness the many comments, as families wandered around enjoying the art displays from the classes. The opening brought the Kids Matter initiative into focus as the space has been a major project of the Kids Matter framework, the P&C and school for a long time now. I heard one child remark as he wandered around the space with his Mum, “That this was the best day ever because they even painted the tables.” The space has already seen a flurry of classes using the area this week and trying out the easels and tables for a range of art activities. Miss Vosolo has kindly volunteered to oversee the space next year as we set some parameters around using the space and the materials stored there. Thank you so much to all who have been involved in the project to date and we look forward to it becoming a thriving hub of the school in the future.
